Get your Michigan Concealed Pistol License and keep your loved ones safe! Topics include defensive shooting skills, strategies for home safety, gun laws, and more. This course meets the State of Michigan requirements to apply for a Michigan Concealed Pistol License (CPL). This is an 8 hour course that includes a classroom education section, practical range training, and an exam. Students will learn basic defensive shooting skills, strategies for home safety and responding to a violent confrontation, firearms and the law, how to choose a handgun for self-defense, and more. Students will also be given handouts regarding the CPL application process, reciprocity, county specific CPL information, and more. Upon successful completion of this course, students will be issued a Certification of Completion to satisfy the training requirement set forth by Michigan Law. Lunch and beverages will be provided free of charge.
Handgun* (semi-automatic or revolver), 2-3 magazines, 100 rounds of ammunition, holster (optional), eye protection, ear protection, pen and paper. Upon arriving to class, please do not manipulate your firearm. An instructor will conduct a safety check, and any rented handguns will be issued at this time. Do not bring ANY ammunition into class until told to do so by instructors.
Optional: Hat, sunscreen, bug spray, cold weather clothing, rain poncho, water, snacks, etc.
* You may rent a handgun for $50 by selecting the “Rent Handgun” option. This cost includes a handgun and all ammunition needed to complete the course. Smaller handguns are available for those with smaller hands.

This 4 hour course satisfies Michigan's training requirement for renewing a Concealed Pistol License. Students will refresh their knowledge of basic defensive shooting skills, strategies for home safety and responding to a violent confrontation, firearms and the law, and more. Students will also receive firing range time to practice the fundamentals of marksmanship, defensive shooting, and safe firearms handling. Although this course is not required by law, we highly recommend joining us for a chance to practice your shooting fundamentals and learn about new laws before renewing your CPL. We understand how hard it is to make time for shooting practice so let us help you make the most of your concealed carry training.
* Michigan CPL Law states that renewals must be completed no sooner than 6 months before date of expiration and no later than one year after expiration. If more than a year has past since your CPL expired, you must take the full CPL class.

Kid's Gun Safety

This 4 hour course is for young adults between the ages of 13-18 and focuses on firearms safety. Students will learn how to properly respond to the presence of a firearm, render it safe (if the situation requires), and seek adult help. Students will learn that firearms are tools and not toys by being shown the internal workings of a handgun. Firearms are often glamorized to kids in movies, but exposure and education can help demystify them. At the end of the course, students will be given an opportunity to fire a handgun under direct supervision of our instructors in a controlled, safe environment. Today's society seems to be getting worse and worse, and this course will help your son or daughter learn to respect firearms. Lunch and beverages will be provided free of charge.
* Parents or guardians are not required to stay for the duration of the class but are strongly welcomed. Please stay and watch your child develop a new skill!
Please bring eye and ear protection that will properly fit your son or daughter. All other materials will be provided.

Defensive Handgun

This 8 hour course is for students interested in advanced defensive handgun training. Students will learn proper use of a holster, firing while moving, use of cover and concealment, and firing under high stress environments. Students will be exposed to dynamic firing exercises involving moving, firing, and reloading. Students will also learn how to complete basic risk assessments of situations, interact with law enforcement following an incident, and how to better prepare for (and prevent) a deadly force threat. This course is geared towards furthering one's concealed carry abilities to better respond during a life-threatening encounter. Lunch and beverages will be provided free of charge.
Semi-automatic handgun*, 2-3 magazines*, 300 rounds of ammunition, holster, magazine pouch, gun belt, eye protection, ear protection, pen and paper. Upon arriving to class, please do not manipulate your firearm. An instructor will conduct a safety check, and any rented handguns will be issued at this time. Do not bring ANY ammunition into class until told to do so by instructors.
Optional: Hat, sunscreen, bug spray, cold weather clothing, rain poncho, water, snacks, etc.
* Handgun Rentals are available but it is highly recommended that students already have a firearm intended for defensive carry and a matching holster. Two magazines is acceptable, but three is highly recommended.

Defensive Rifle

This 8 hour course is for students interested in advancing their skills with one of the most popular shooting platforms: the AR-15 style rifle. Students will be exposed to dynamic firing exercises that include shooting while moving, use of cover and concealment, transitioning to a secondary weapon, clearing malfunctions, and more. Students will also be shown how to properly zero both iron sights and red dot sights. Lunch and beverages will be provided free of charge.
Primary Weapon: AR-15 style rifle*, 2-3 magazines, 300 rounds of ammunition, sling, and any tools required to zero your iron sights and/or red dot sight.
Secondary Weapon: Handgun, 2-3 magazines, 100 rounds of ammunition, holster, magazine pouch, and gun belt.
Also required is eye protection, ear protection, pen and paper. Upon arriving to class, please do not manipulate your firearms until an instructor will conduct a safety check. Do not bring ANY ammunition into class until told to do so by instructors. Optional: Hat, sunscreen, bug spray, cold weather clothing, rain poncho, water, snacks, etc.
* AR-15 style rifles chambered in .223 or 5.56mm are preferred. Please contact us if you do not have an AR-15 rifle and wish to use a different rifle/caliber.

The rifle itself has no moral stature, since it has no will of its own. Naturally, it may be used by evil men for evil purposes, but there are more good men than evil, and while the latter cannot be persuaded to the path of righteousness by propaganda, they can certainly be corrected by good men with rifles.
